Muharram 1452 هـ
The first month of the Islamic year and one of the four sacred months in Islam.
Muharram is the first month of the Islamic Hijri year and one of the four sacred months in which fighting was forbidden in pre-Islamic Arabia. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged fasting during this month, especially on the 10th (Ashura), which commemorates Allah's salvation of Prophet Moses and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh. Fasting on Ashura expiates the sins of the previous year.
